Open Rate
Definition
The percentage of sent emails that are opened by the recipient. Measured using a tracking pixel embedded in the email. Open rate is calculated as unique opens divided by emails delivered.
Why It Matters
Open rate indicates the effectiveness of your subject line and sender reputation. A benchmark of 50%+ is considered good for email outreach. Low open rates suggest deliverability issues or weak subject lines.
